I am Rinku Bhattacharya, a food obsessed, working mother of two lovely children. Adding my husband and cat to the mix together, we form a food obsessed family. I track my cooking and eating expeditions in my blog, Cooking inWestchester and also love to talk and share spices through occasional cooking classes, where I learn as I teach.
I like to savor local delights and enjoy growing food and eating with the seasons.
I think that we are especially lucky in the Hudson Valley Region, since we have a great assortment of farms, wineries and seasonally inspired restaurants that allow us to appreciate and enjoy the best that the valley has to offer. To add to the ingredient mix, I have a passion for collecting kitchen toys and cookbooks, and often have to find room in my kitchen to accommodate my endless toy and spice collection.
I am expecially excited about trying and exploring new restaurants, and am looking forward to Restaurant Week and trying a few places I have not experienced before. I also enjoy being part of the community and the buzz that this event creates in the valley.
