Hudson Valley Restaurant Week 2012: Meet Guest Blogger John Lanser


My friends find me to be a little bit of an enigma. I am happy eating at a 4 star restaurant or at the corner hot dog cart, as long as it’s good. I was a food industry professional for more than 15 years, after graduating from the Culinary Institute of America. It was from here that I was able to do an apprenticeship at the famous River Café under the leadership of Rick Laakonnen.

Presently, I am temporarily resigned from the food services industry although I still love to cook and eat locally. This is a great opportunity to let my experience and passion shine. I currently reside in New Rochelle as self proclaimed Foodie.
