Once again, I am very happy to be participating in Hudson Valley Restaurant Week for the third year in a row.
As someone who consults and writes about food and maintains the site WestchesterEats, and does recipe development/testing for restaurants and cookbook authors, it is exciting to see people afforded opportunities outside of their weekly “norms.”
Hudson Valley Restaurant Week showcases restaurants that may have been off-radar for some, and at an affordable price, especially in this “new economy.”
These days, with so many Hudson Valley restaurants now showcasing locally raised/grown food, it is a win-win for both restaurateur and farmer/grower – – and to share it with friends, a win for us.
As I always quote a favorite writer, MFK Fisher, stated, “Then with good friends of such attributes, and good food on the board, and good wine in the pitcher, we may well ask, when shall we live, if not now?”
See you at the table!
Todd
