Everybody eats. It is the joy, the pleasure and new experiences that I look forward to whether it is a Friday night pizza or the latest trend. Typically the best meals for me involve the firing of all senses; the right atmosphere which may include the buzz of other diner’s conversation or low background music, a beautifully plated dish, scents that make sense, varied textures and of course a fabulous tasting meal that I can’t wait to tell others about.
A lifelong resident of the Hudson Valley, I thoroughly enjoy all aspects of food from learning new recipes, tasting new dishes at unexplored restaurants, shopping for local produce at farm stands and markets, photographing a meal and putting words together to share the experience.
As a second year guest blogger, columnist for the Wallkill Valley Times and freelance writer for Hudson Valley Parent magazine, I am thankful and happy to combine my loves of food and words.
