Hudson Valley Restaurant Week 2012: Meet Guest Bloggers Donna Monaco Olsen and Bradley Olsen

The duo is so excited to be participating in HVRW blogging again this year, their third. They have already made reservations in 7 fabulous spots and can’t wait to try out all the terrific chef creations. Donna Monaco Olsen creates custom designed cakes and cupcakes at The Cupcake Kitchen & Luncheonette in Irvington and is the co-coordinator for Westchester Community College’s Continuing Education program aptly called “A Taste of Westchester”.   She writes the program containing over 30 classes each semester by recruiting chefs to do cooking demonstrations in their restaurants for both education and fun!  There are some great classes going on right now and you can check them out at www.sunywcc.edu.    She has also written for the Journal News-LoHud, writing for Liz Johnson’s Food Finds and Small Bites.  Not only an avid cook and baker, she is also the “go to” person for finding a good place to dine!

Hubby, Bradley Olsen will be again joining Donna to critique what he tastes and sees. He will help to convey to you his thoughts on the experience. He currently works in a design firm in Dobbs Ferry, and is changing some local restaurant spots as we speak. He has helped proprietors and chefs to achieve their visions for years.  He loves to analyze the interior space as well as what he has tasted.

It is thrilling to see over 200 offerings at www.hudsonvalleyrestaurantweek.com this year and they are looking forward to the two weeks of dining out with friends and family. It is a terrific opportunity to try some you have considered but haven’t made it to yet! Mangia!
