A New Gluten-Free Bakery in Nyack: Flour Buds

All-natural. Organic. And today’s big buzz word: Gluten-Free. Flour Buds, a new bakery in Nyack, has all of them covered — plus will offer vegan and sugar-free items, too.

Pam Goldberg, who graduated from the Natural Gourmet Institute for Healthy and Culinary Arts in Manhattan, opened the new bakery with her husband, Steve, and their daughter, Lacey. The Goldbergs will sell sweet items, such as biscotti, cakes and cupcakes, first, then later will offer savory things too, from pizzas and breads to pot pies and popcorn. The bakery, on Main Street, has window seating and a faux leather bench that extends into the store. There are damask window treatments, a walnut floor and three display cases. And soon, look for a big wedding cake display in the window.
