Guapo Cocina Mexicana, a new restaurant by the owners of Zuppa in Yonkers, opened recently at 10 Warburton Avenue in Yonkers, serving table-side guacamole, tacos, burritos, quesadillas and molotes, corn dough which is filled and fried. Specialties are Mexican sandwiches, known as tortas and cemitas, with such fillings as spicy pork and pineapple, breaded chicken, chorizo and chicken tinga.

Guapo recently began serving Mexican brunch 11:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The $15 price includes an appetizer, entree choices such as chilquilas, and a glass of complimentary Mimosa or Sangria. Guapo means handsome in Spanish.
