This just in from the Eater blog. Governor, the DUMBO restaurant that took on five feet of water during Superstorm Sandy, will not re-open, despite raising thousands of dollars in aid to do so. Governor Will Not Reopen [1].

Organic baby red beets and mache salad with sour cherries, peanut meringue and balsamic dressing by chef Brad McDonald during his Kittle House tenure.

In addition, Brad McDonald, the chef — formerly at Crabtree’s Kittle House — has parted ways with the owner. Here’s a link to a post from a tasting menu I had while he was there: Welcome to the New Kittle House [2]. He was a darn good cook, that’s for sure. Let’s see where he pops up next.
