I wrote this week’s Restaurant We Love on Sushi Nanase in White Plains, and wow was I blown away; this is the best sushi I’ve ever had in Westchester. Here’s the link: Restaurants We Love Sushi Nanase.
As I mention at the end of the story, Yoshimichi Takeda, the chef-owner, changes the ingredients in his omakase dinner often, so you might not get the same dishes, same garnishes or even the same sushi that I tasted when I went in late December. Even when our photographer went to shoot for the story just two weeks later, the kampachi sashimi that I tasted was now yellowtail. And Takeda served the scallop sashimi to me in a glass, but made it for our photographer in a deeper dish.
Here then, is a look at the photos from my meal. I can’t wait to go back!
