It’s not every day you see an item on a menu advertised as “burnt.” But Andrea’s 25 North, which opened two months ago in the old Limoncello space in Mamaroneck, prides itself on its “Italian with a twist” offerings.
Don’t expect the usual suspects like chicken parmigiana or spaghetti with meatballs (though the kitchen will do those on request). Instead, Chef Salvatore Sorrentino concentrates on mixing flavors and yes, burning its side dishes, among them burnt broccoli, burnt string beans and burnt asparagus.
