Video: First Look at The Parlor in Dobbs Ferry, Opening Oct. 29

Simon Feldman of The Cooks’ Plate takes a first look at Chef David Dibari’s newest creation: The Parlor Restaurant in Dobbs Ferry, which opens tomorrow.

Distressed reclaimed wood, exposed brick walls, spray-painted street art — even the ripped remnants of wallpaper depicting Mother Goose nursery rhymes. The Parlor, the new restaurant by chef-owner David DiBari of The Cookery, feels cool, hip and relaxed. (If you’ve been to Roberta’s, the hipster restaurant in Brooklyn, you know the vibe.)

The Parlor opens Tuesday, October 29 and will serve small plates and wood-fired pizzas with such toppings as prosciutto with green tomato jam and fontina; lemon with smoked mozzarella and basil; and pork confit, smoked figs and fontina.

Go: 14 Cedar St., 914-305-2336, Facebook: The Parlor Dobbs Ferry.

  4. Instead of trying to figure things out intuitively (which
doesn’t work because it’s a figurative oxymoron), we must instead receive information,
paying attention to what comes. One reason why it may have been more difficult for us in our contemporary Western culture
to work with our intuition, aside from the fact that it hasn’t been valued
in our culture, is that it often works in a different way from our normally used and encouraged faculties.

  6. Well, we hope you are duly impressed with just this
little bit about Selling Your Jewelry. Sparkle Jewelry Designs are currently sold via our online website, which receives traffic flow
from our various social media pages on Facebook, Twitter and Linked – In. The result is often that, instead
of enhancing self-esteem, they tend to overwhelm the
person or even showcase their insecurities instead.

  12. Today, I went to the beachfront with my children. I
found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said
“You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She placed the
shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear.
She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is completely off topic but I had to tell someone!

me from that service? Many thanks!
