Legendary Rhone Valley winemaker Michel Chapoutier is spending a day in Scarsdale, and any wine drinker can tell you that this is a must-go event.
The five-course meal will feature eight wine pairings and is priced at $105 per person. From 12 to 4 p.m. following lunch, Chapoutier will host a grand tasting at Zachys, pouring new releases and old favorites from his M. Chapoutier line, most of which sell for much greater than the ticket price.
Savona Restaurant’s elegant lunch menu for the event begins with caviar, then moves on to fresh Hamachi crudo with avocado crema and Cherry Belle radish. There will also be braised Kansas beef short ribs with Brussels sprouts and celery root puree and pecan panna cotta for dessert.
