If you’ve ever watched Food Network, chances are you’ve seen Robert Irvine in action. The high-energy celebrity chef is best known for hosting “Restaurant: Impossible,” but has also appeared on “Dinner: Impossible,” Worst Cooks in America” and “Iron Chef.”
Here’s your chance to see him up close: Chef Robert Irvine will be at The Ridgefield Playhouse at 8 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 17.
The event, billed as a “multi-sensory, multimedia experience,” will feature Irvine in an interactive show that presents multiple opportunities for audience participation while witnessing the challenging nature of Dinner: Impossible come to life right before your eyes. He will have no prior knowledge of the culinary challenges that await him on stage, and the audience will have close-up views of the Food Network chef at work thanks to multiple cameras strategically placed around the stage.
There will be a wine and cheese tasting in the lobby at 7:15 p.m., coordinated by sponsor 109 Cheese & Wine, and a chef’s signing of gift items will follow. The event supports Hillside Food Outreach’s Annual Food Drive, so ticket holders are encouraged to bring a canned food item.
And if you can’t make the show, fans of Chef Irvine can look for his newest Food Network show that premieres on November 3, called “Restaurant Express.”
