Help Feed the Hungry in the Lower Hudson Valley

We at The Journal News and lohud.com have asked local nonprofits what they need to serve the hungry this holiday season, and they’ve responded with a growing wish list of canned goods, soups, rice, warm clothes and volunteers, among many other things.

“Our food pantry is running low,” wrote Christ Church of Ramapo, amplifying the sentiments of others on the list.

Several organizations, including St. Mary’s food pantry in Mohegan Lake and the Westchester Coalition for the Hungry and Homeless, urgently need Thanksgiving turkeys, hams and side dishes.
