Good-Life Gourmet is gearing up for another of their popular pop up restaurants. From January 16 through 18, chef Eric Korn is taking over Irvington’s Cupcake Kitchen for “Restaurant Maize,” serving traditional Mexican dishes with an upscale twist.

Seatings are at 7 and 8:30 p.m. each night for the three-course a la carte menu which includes dishes like pecan soup, made with candied pecans, pickled jalapeno, crema and roasted chiles, fried red snapper tacos and duck mole with corn pudding, sautéed greens, crispy mushrooms, fresh avocado and mole.

Each course will be served family-style, on hand-carved woods boards. And a dessert platter will feature chef Korn’s flan, churros and salted fruit.

For $85 per person, guests can purchase a ticket to the chef’s table. Each evening five seats will be available for anyone who wants to chat with the chef and sample things from the entire menu.
