Must Try Dish of the Week: Winter Sangria Cocktail at Red Hat on the River, Irvington

Yes, we know this cocktail is not a dish, technically speaking. But for the week between Christmas and New Years, it seems appropriate. Celebratory, festive— and yes, delicious— the winter sangria at Red Hat on the River is too much fun to pass up.

Made from Hudson Valley apple cider and spirits, bartender Ben O’Connell’s winter sangria also features fresh citrus, red wine and a hint of winter spice thanks to a cinnamon-infused brown sugar simple syrup. Thankfully, Red Hat will be serving the popular drink on New Years Eve.

Not going out on New Years? Don’t worry. O’Connell shared his recipe with us, so this is a “dish” everyone can try. Click here to see recipe.

On New Years Eve, Red Hat on the River will be open for brunch at 11:30 and from 4:30 to 7:30 for dinner.
