On Monday some of the area’s chefs, restaurateurs and food bloggers gathered at RiverMarket in Tarrytown to kickoff this spring’s Hudson Valley Restaurant Week, which runs from March 10 through 24.
The event opened with a press conference hosted by our friends and HVRW proprietor, The Valley Table. Chef Peter X. Kelly was presented with a farm-to-table award, for championing the dining potential of the Hudson Valley.
“We may not all be standing here if it wasn’t for Peter Kelly,” said John Crabtree, of Crabtree’s Kittle House in Chappaqua.
After the award, our Small Bites crew chatted with chefs and sampled some local beverages from Irving Farm Coffee Roasters, Captain Lawrence, Keegan Ales and more.
Check our Hudson Valley Restaurant Week page for a list of participating restaurants, and keep an eye out during Restaurant Week for blogger reviews.
