Annual Books & Cooks event at Greenburgh Public Library, May 19

Start with a love of literature, add some great chefs, local authors and you get the fifth annual Corks & Forks: A Literary Feast at the Greenburgh Public Library.

Kicking off at 6 p.m. on Monday, May 19, the event will benefit the Greenburgh Children’s Library. Sarah Bracey White will be Honorary Author Chair and chef Glen Vogt of RiverMarket Bar & Kitchen in Tarrytown will be the Honorary Restaurant Chair.RiverMarket_Bar_and_Kitchen_Glenn_Vogt

White and Vogt will be joined by other exceptional authors and chefs for a culinary evening to inspire new connections. Participating restaurants include Don Coqui, Hudson Grille, Bistro Z, Red Barn Bakery, Broken Bow Brewery,  Village Social, Chutney Masala and more. Guests will also meet talented local writers like Gary Golio (JIMI: Sounds Like A Rainbow. A story of the Young Jimi Hendrix), Linda Tarrent-Reid (Discovering Black America), Roni Schotter (All About Grandmas) and David Burr Gerrard (Short Century), who will all be on hand to sign copies of their work.
