Get ready to tuck into some creamy, cashew-laden chicken korma.
A favorite Indian restaurant in Westchester is back.
Raasa Indian Cuisine opened Friday in Elmsford, said owner Shiva Natarajan. Formerly called Malabar Hill before the restaurant closed in April 2013, Raasa has more than a new name.
“It’s a totally new restaurant concept, with traditional Indian food in a modern setting,” Natarajan said. “Everything is brand new.”
Expect a combination of old charm with minimalist chic when it comes to the décor.
As for the menu, the old favorites should still be around to tempt and delight you: your naans, curries, masalas, daals, samosas and saag dishes. Plus, there will be a few twists and surprises, especially with weekend specials.
Raasa is at 145 E. Main St., Elmsford. It’s open for lunch from 11:45 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. and dinner 5 to 10 p.m. daily. There’s a lunch buffet for $12 on weekdays and a brunch buffet for $15 on weekends. Delivery is available. Call 914-347-7890.
