Coney Island Lobster Roll at the Seahorse Seafood Shack, Pleasantville: Must-try Dish of the Week

Hot dogs and burgers are essential easy eating in the summer,  but when it comes to throwback vacation food, they’ve got nothing on a classic lobster roll.

The Coney Island lobster roll at Seahorse Seafood Shack in Pleasantville comes on a house-made toasted brioche roll, stuffed with big chunks of lobster meat. Give a squeeze of fresh lemon over the paper-lined basket and dive in. Just try not to sing “Under the Boardwalk” out loud while you eat.

Word to the wise: this walk-up restaurant has only a few tables, chairs and umbrellas outdoors, so expect to fight for seating during the dinner rush.

Seahorse Seafood Shack, 30 Wheeler Ave., Pleasantville. 914-579-2255,  Hours: 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday-Saturday. Closed Sunday.
