What’s in Your Bag? An evening on Ryder Farm, July 30

Artists, foodies, farmers. Different majors, but they’re in the same school.

From 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. on July 30, all three will come together at SPACE on Ryder Farm in Brewster for a unique farm-to-table dinner. Tickets are $55 per person and include dinner, wine or beer pairing, cooking demonstration and a live performance by musicians Grace McLean and The Apples.

Executive chef for the evening is Rebecca Newman, currently the executive pastry chef at Northern Spy Food Company in the East Village, and formerly of Waverly Inn and Radish in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Her menu will highlight the bounty of the family-owned Ryder Farm and includes crispy fried okra poppers, kale chips with lemon and Parmesan, homeamde onion bread with herb butter, warm yellow bean salad with shallot vinaigrette and grass-fed, organic ribeyes served with slow roasted tomatoes and braised farm greens.
