A few details have been made available about Bon Fahyr (get it — bon fire) BBQ Buffet, which is coming to the old Duke’s Ocean Grill spot on Route 303 in Tappan. GM Joe Yi promised a dose of true Texas smoked brisket along with some ribs, chicken and sausage.
Their consulting chef was brought in from Austin, specifically to train staff on the art of ‘cue. The smoked meats will join a selection of hot/cold foods (over 100 items) and sushi/raw bar (over 70 sushi, sashimi & maki items) — a bar will offer bottled and draft beer with a small wine list. Expect Bon Fahyr to open in the next few weeks for both lunch ($14.95/person; no bbq) and dinner ($29.95/person).
