Restaurant North to open Market North in Armonk

restaurant northRestaurant North is one of the most important local restaurants for a few reasons, and the Armonk restaurant just gave us another reason to sit up and pay attention.

The first is that chef Eric Gabrynowicz is a humble star. He’s been nominated multiple times for James Beard awards, and you’ll occasionally see him on the Today show, in the New York Times, Food & Wine magazine,  and more — and deservedly so. His menu is creative, hyper-local and inspiring. Plus, it’s reasonably priced.

The second is the sense of social responsibility. Recently, Gabrynowicz, co-owner Stephen Mancini and the rest of the North team have gone through lengths to raise money and awareness for the No Kid Hungry campaign.

Finally, on Wednesday evening Restaurant North announced via social media that Market North will open across the street in downtown Armonk. While Gabrynowicz remains tight-lipped about the specifics, Market North’s Instagram account is slowly leaking images that capture the vision for the new venture, which promises to “redefine the market.”

Market North opens on June 10 at 387 Main Street in Armonk.
